A gaggle of demonstrators held a protest in Washington, D.C., Tuesday night time over a latest deadly police taking pictures of a person within the southeast a part of the district.
This comes after 26-year-old Justin Robinson, a member of the D.C. violence interruption program known as Treatment the Streets, was shot and killed by cops earlier this month at a McDonald’s on Marion Barry Avenue.
Treatment the Streets is a pilot public security program launched by the Workplace of the Lawyer Common of D.C. that seeks to cut back gun violence.

“At roughly 10:05 p.m., peaceable protests at MPD’s Seventh District station turned violent when people started throwing bottles, rocks, and different objects at officers,” the police division stated in a press release. “MPD instantly started giving dispersal warnings as people continued to throw objects at officers.”
“We’ll proceed to assist those that select to protest peacefully and safely, and we’ll proceed to carry accountable those that commit prison acts,” police added.
Police stated that there will likely be an elevated police presence on the Seventh District out of an abundance of warning.
