13-year-old basketball participant stomps on opponent’s head in wild scene throughout recreation

Police are investigating after a 13-year-old basketball participant allegedly stomped on an opponent’s head on the courtroom at a Bay Space recreation. 

Issues turned ugly in a recreation between Tumakbo United, a Filipino-American youth basketball group, and Payton’s Place, one other Bay Space group, Sunday on the School of Alameda. 

On an inbound move, the son of Eva and Roderick Guingab caught the ball and was seeking to push it upcourt when a participant from Payton’s Place ran as much as steal the ball away. A scuffle for the ball ensued after the younger Guingab hit the hardwood.

It’s regular to see two basketball gamers wrestling for the ball to find out possession, however when one other participant from Payton’s Place came to visit through the scuffle, he stomped on Guingab’s head whereas he was on the bottom. 

The referee, who had already blown his whistle when Guingab hit the ground, instantly grabbed the participant who stomped on Guingab’s head, breaking issues up earlier than it received even uglier.

Police are investigating after the Guingabs filed a proper report. 

The household of the boy who stomped on Guingab’s head stated he was sticking up for his teammate he believed was kicked and punched through the scuffle, KGO-TV reported.

An organizer of the event on the School of Alameda reportedly instructed the participant who stomped on Guingab to depart the fitness center as soon as issues had been settled. 

An official from Payton’s Place instructed the station the participant is now “looking for assist to regulate his feelings, and he’s not taking part in with this system presently.”

“The conduct that was exhibited by our participant will not be acceptable and is being taken severely,” Payton’s Place added. 

“I believe everybody was simply in shock. I believe all of us form of went on the courtroom and went to the coach of the opposite group to say, ‘What simply occurred? What is going on on?'” Michael Tolentino, who coaches Tumakbo United, stated.
