Chicago safety guard gunned down with rifle, killed in Household Greenback retailer: police

A Chicago safety guard was gunned down at a Household Greenback retailer within the metropolis’s West Facet, police stated.

In line with FOX 32, citing the Chicago Police Division, authorities have been referred to as to the low cost retailer on Friday afternoon at roughly 1:30 p.m.

Authorities stated that the suspect approached 43-year-old Loyce Wright with a rifle and gunned him down within the retailer.

Wright, a safety guard on the retailer, was struck a number of instances by the gunfire.

The 43-year-old was rushed to Stroger Hospital, the place he later died from his accidents, police confirmed with the native outlet.

Jessie Brown, who works as a safety at a retailer subsequent door, stated he was at work when he heard the barage of gunfire.

“I used to be at work and I heard the gunshots subsequent door, so I went subsequent door to go see what occurred after which I see my good friend, Loyce, on the bottom,” Brown instructed FOX 32.

Brown stated that he had recognized Wright for 20 years and that the pair each labored in safety.

“He was a superb good friend, he cherished doing safety, I cherished doing safety and it is simply unhappy that this occurred to him,” stated Brown.

“All he was attempting to do was work and deal with his household and now this,” he added.

The Chicago Police Division stated that they don’t have a suspect in custody and are investigating the incident.
