Colorado trans teen who plotted mass faculty capturing in violent ‘schizophrenic’ manifesto sentenced to six years

A transgender teenager who admitted to plotting to shoot up three faculties and wrote a disturbing violent manifesto has been sentenced to 6 years in jail.

The 18th Judicial District Legal professional’s Workplace on Wednesday mentioned the defendant, William Whitworth, who recognized as “Lilly” and – in accordance with a DA spokesperson – was within the strategy of transitioning to feminine on the time of her arrest.

She was given credit score of 306 days for time served from the time of her arrest in March 2023.

Given Whitworth’s transgender standing, it was not instantly clear whether or not she could be despatched to a male or feminine facility.

Whitworth was charged with two counts of first-degree felony try and commit homicide, felony mischief, menacing, and interference with workers, college, or college students of instructional establishments. 

In April 2023, deputies with the Elbert County Sheriff’s Workplace responded to a disturbance name within the 13900 block of Double Tree Ranch Circle within the City of Elbert, Colorado.

In response to an arrest affidavit, a member of the family reportedly advised 911 dispatchers that her “sister” had threatened to shoot up a college and had anger issues. 

The home deputies had been despatched to the home, which was suffering from trash and had containers with half-eaten meals, making it troublesome to stroll inside.

The deputies had been directed to a room the place Whitworth was sleeping, the affidavit says. 

The room was crammed with trash as excessive because the mattress, and there have been holes within the wall, police mentioned. 

Throughout questioning, Whitworth admitted to planning a college capturing, with the suspect’s former center faculty, Timberview, being a “fundamental goal,” in accordance with the affidavit. 

Her targets included Timberview Center Faculty, the place she attended in 2014 to 2016, Prairie Hills Elementary, and Pine Creek Excessive Faculty – that are all situated in Colorado Springs.

In response to police, Whitworth allegedly created a disturbing manifesto crammed with “schizophrenic rants” and mentions of serial killers, politicians, and entertainers, together with the Columbine shooters and former President Trump.

Whitworth was arrested following the discovering.
