On the floor, Alan Wake 2 presents as a story about metanarratives. Its American Pacific Northwest setting greater than pays homage to the works of David Lynch, and the best way it performs with that specific model of horror reveals a real understanding of why its inspirations work within the first place.
However I didn’t count on Alan Wake 2 to cover a story about self-doubt, triumphing over anxiousness, and all of the delicate and sly methods our personal ideas can slowly erode the best way we see ourselves.
