Andre Braugher, recognized for his position as Captain Ray Holt on “Brooklyn 9-9,” has died. He was 61.
Braugher’s publicist confirmed to Fox Information Digital that he died following a short sickness.
Along with his position on the police sitcom, Braugher earned accolades enjoying Detective Frank Pembleton for six seasons of “Murder: Life on the Road.”

Braugher earned an Emmy in 1998 for his work on “Murder.”
His first movie position was starring alongside Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman and Matthew Broderick in “Glory.”
He was married for greater than 30 years to his “Murder” co-star Ami Brabson. That they had three sons.
